(The Canton Talents)
Each year, the second Sunday of June, Artists and passionate will open
their doors and let you discover their passion and their talent.
The Patate Feest
The Patate Feest (potatoes fair) is celebrated
each year the last Sunday of august.
Street entertainment, music, artists, games and
mostly the big mashed potatoes pool game are on the program.
Flea Market
Each year, the second Sunday of September, Esquelbecq
Tourism Office organise a Flea Market in the main streets of the village
(around 300 exhibitor on the Bergerot place, rue de Bergues, rue de
Wormhout and rue de la Gare)
The registrations start by mid July at the Tourism

The book night
ESQUELBECQ-
village book association is establish since February2007, its aim?
Create an original and lasting event in rural background by making of
Esquelbecq a village book.
Meaning a village that concentrate the most possible booksellers of
“Antiquarian book”, second-hand booksellers, artists and book craftsmen
as Montolieu, Fontenay La Joute or Redu.
A surprising number of book actors are present during the Night book the
1st Saturday of July. Among them, publishers, second-hand
book sellers, book binders, calligraphers, antiquarian book restorers
and writers. Many activities outside and/or in unexpected places.

3rd book night: Saturday, July 4th
Local products market in summer time
In summer time, local products markets are hold on
the square village. Come to stroll and discover our craftsmen, traders…
from 10h to 13h on the church square.
Animations and a raffle are organized each market.
2009 dates: June 21st, July 5th
and 26th, August 9th and 23rd.
Night life
Come to hear the different musical groups that moves around the outside
the five coffee shops and restaurants of our village.
Let yourself be swept away by the rhythm and the atmosphere of these
summer time nights lives. Jazz, blues, rock, French songs… there is for
all musical tastes.
